Nov 8 - 13, 2026: The Nature of Creative Wilderness - Tofino, BC (CANADA)
A five-day writing retreat-creative residency. A wild space for you and your work to unfold.
There is a quiet longing many of us carry — for uninterrupted time, for meaningful connection, for creative spaces that honor depth rather than productivity.
The Nature of Creative Wilderness Retreat is a five-day gathering held on the rugged edge of the Pacific Ocean in Tofino, British Columbia. It is a hybrid between a retreat and a creative residency, offering both the nourishment of being held in intimate community and the rare gift of spacious time with your creative voice, your inner rhythm, and your relationship to the work that moves through you.
This retreat is not about output.
It is about creative renewal shaped by land, time, and shared ritual and it is for those who feel the quiet pull toward something deeper.
I do hope you’ll join me.

The Setting
Middle Beach Lodge · Tofino, BC
Ancient forest. Open ocean. Weather that asks you to slow down.
Tofino (and Middle Beach Lodge within it) is wonderfully remote, and arriving here is part of the ritual. The journey asks you to slow down and arrive fully. You’ll have ample time for travel on either side of the retreat, and detailed travel guidance will be provided after registration. . . but to help you wrap your heart around this experience, know that Tofino is:
A 6-ish hour drive from Vancouver, BC (including ferry);
A 4.5 hour from Victoria, BC; or
A 50-minute flight from Vancouver’s YVR South Terminal (small aircraft)
What This Retreat Is (and Is Not)
This gathering is designed for those who crave depth over spectacle. This retreat is for you if you are:
A writer, artist, or creative working in any medium
A seeker in a season of transition or reorientation
A person longing for creative renewal rather than creative pressure
Drawn to nature, ritual, and quiet forms of connection
No specific output or experience level is required — only a willingness to listen, receive, and play.
This is: Spacious. Gentle. Intimate. Unhurried. Deeply respectful of individual creative rhythms
This is not: A productivity bootcamp. A heavily scheduled program. A performative or competitive creative space
Your work — whatever form it takes — is welcome here.

Retreat testimonials:
“This was such an inspiring and all together life shifting weekend for me. I met women that I didn’t even know I needed in my life. ”
“What I experienced vastly exceeded my expectations. I don’t know what she did to us, but I left completely transformed. I expected a writing retreat, and what I got was some kind of activation. It’s left me with both tools for writing, and beyond that a renewed enthusiasm for merely being alive. ”
“Pretty sure the trees made me swear an oath to return. Thank you, many times over, for creating the space, energy and doorways for us all.”
“Beautiful place, wise beautiful women, we all need more of this. I knew I needed to be there, but didn’t know exactly what was going to go down for me. And it was incredible. I let go of the junk I was carrying and it opened me up to so much more love. What a gift. Yes, yes and yes! I cannot wait for more! ”
